They last, and the colors are beautiful.
These are the BEST markers. I have tried a lot of different markers and none of them compared to these. I like that you can get the fine ones to match these.

Favorite - maybe
These are my favorite markers to color with! I even have alcohol markers and like these better! A tad expensive in my opinion, but I love the color variety and the smooth way they fill in a space. UPDATE: I loved these markers the first time I bought them. They filled spaces so nicely. It felt like I was using expensive markers, not something so affordable. The picture on the left was colored with the first set I bought. The picture on the right was just completed with the second set I bought. I see a big difference! They felt very different too. The new ones felt dried out. The tips were harder. The color didn’t flow. I felt the need to press harder on the paper. There is hardly any streaking on the page colored by the first set, but there was major streaking in all of the spaces that were bigger than my finger. I find the difference astounding and very disappointing. 😞

Beautiful colors!
I've done two mandalas (pictured - from Jess Volinski "Colorful Creations Butterfly Mandalas" book). I've never done adult coloring before, or purchased any markers, but I found good reviews on these, and I'm super happy with them. The colors are beautiful - most are very close to the color of the cap, but a few are a little different - so I did a swatch on paper with each marker, and its name. Every marker wrote perfectly doing the swatch. A big bonus is that each marker's name is written on the barrel of the pen - no guessing. They are strong, good colors - one pass with the pen is usually all that's needed. I've only used them twice, but keep them vertically upside down (so the ink flows to the tip - what I heard is best for markers) and have had no problems of any drying out yet. Most of the time I only need to "tap" along the edge of the section on the mandala, if the spot is small, the markers kind of fill themselves in. BUT - that's not to say there's lots of bleeding - you just have to be careful in tiny spots - don't overdo until you let it work in to the paper. The tips seem very strong and durable - stay to a point. Two of the darkest greens and the darkest purples look very close to me, but I can tell a difference. Other than those, every color is quite different from the rest. I know when I start running low on ink from these, I will buy more from Bic. I did lots of research, and read lots of reviews before I bought any, and I think I make a really good choice!!! If these last like I think they will, I'll be going back to Bic every time I need more. Thanks, Bic, for a good product!

Great quality, lasts forever
So I am replacing this set because I lost some of the markers and the rest were drying out over the last year or two. I went and checked how long ago I ordered that set, and it was 2012. These worked great for over 10 years. I feel like that deserves a gold star.

Perfect for basic coloring and great for artists just getting into markers instead of buying Copics
I'm an artist and my favorite medium to work with is colored pencils. However, to achieve fine detail and accuracy, it's quite a labor intensive process that takes a very long time to finish (for me at least). I'm keen to speed up the process so am always looking to try new materials that I can incorporate into my work so I can achieve a quicker result without compromising on quality. I find markers do just that. I bought these along with the Sharpie Extra Fine markers to experiment with before shelling out on the popular Copic or prismacolor markers and I'm glad I did! I find they bring a nice vibrancy to my work, make for a nice base - like an under painting and yes, they do save me so much time! The price too, is great. I have ended up buying Copic and Prismacolors and I adore them so much more (the quality is much better than these, but obviously they are so much more expensive). This set has some lovely colors but they're all very bright and the caps are quite misleading (I was hoping for a few pastels at least) but they did the job I hoped them to do. Copic's on the other hand, have so many pale colors which are far better for skin tones - you might want to buy a few to supplement this pack. I would highly recommend these pens for anyone wishing to dip their toe into using markers for the first time and also for people who just enjoy coloring. They're more than satisfactory for kids or adult coloring books. Another thing... I thought the case was so nice. It keeps every pen in place and everything all neatly together - it's a great design. In conclusion here are a few things you might like to remember if you buy these markers - * The paper you use will affect the way the ink bleeds through to the back of the paper so you may want to keep a spare piece of cheap paper behind the one you're using if you're not too concerned with that. I find this to be more so the case when using cheaper markers. * Bare in mind the colors are quite vibrant and not really true to the cap color - particularly the ones that appear to be pastels. I wouldn't say there are any light colors in this set. * It is possible to blend with these but you're limited in what you can do because they're stand alone colors. Theres no gradation of colors - going from a light pink say, right through to dark I'll still keep using these in conjunction with my Prisma's and growing Copic collection though because they're a really good buy for the price and they allow me to have really bright colors on hand which I tend to not really buy or use so much in the more expensive ranges.

Good for your everyday artist
I find this set quite adequate for my artworks. I am not a professional or schooled artists and most of my works are for my enjoyment or as sketches to give to friends. I'll say if you are looking for a set of freestyle or casual markers these will do you just fine. I spoke with a friend who does take his art to the professional level and he told me the only reason he will not consider these is because the bleed through and he is unsure of the archival quality of the ink. They do bleed through quite a bit so putting a sheet under your work is probably best. They do not streak and they coat evenly. The colors are not overly saturated and you get a fair deal of variety in color allowing for more shading and texturing options than your average set. They also play well with other markers and will not cause the liners ive used to bleed in anyway. Also for the price you can't go wrong. at less than .50 a marker its hard to not even give these a run through. I like the packaging as well. It is resealable and there is an additional hollow area where I keep a 2H pencil, Eraser and 3 copic liners. You can also go to bic's website and order individual colors if you run dry on certain colors. The re-stocks are $1 each and take awhile to arrive but i find its worth the wait. I hate having to buy a whole new set just to get that grey I keep running dry. The markers last very long if you cap them promptly after use. They are also permanent markers so don't get them on anything you will cry about. If you want to see how these look on paper I got some works on my bloghttp://sirmarksalot.blogspot.com/

Excellent Markers for Coloring!
I like to color in my adult coloring books with markers and these are the perfect compliment to BIC Marking Permanent Marker Fashion Colors, Ultra Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 36-Count . It's nice to have these markers that will fill a large area quickly and easily. The tip of these markers state that they are fine tip, but they resemble a bullet tip marker, so they aren't the best for coloring small spaces. If you have a nook or cranny that needs to be filled in, I suggest using the ultra-fine tip markers that I mentioned above. The colors between the two sets match perfectly, so you won't have to worry whether it's the right shade or hue. Another plus to these markers is that they have the name of the color on the pens and they're cute names too. :) As with most permanent markers, the ink from these markers will spread when put on a piece of paper. If you are going to use these markers for coloring, beware that the ink will spread on the page and you'll need to experiment to determine how close you can get to the lines without the ink spreading past them. I used the Tiki Hut Tan on one of the pages from Peace, Love & F*cking Happiness: An Irreverently Positive Adult Coloring Book (Irreverent Book Series) (Volume 7) that is in my photos and you can see where the ink began to bleed through the paper and you can also tell where I lifted the pen and the ink dried before I could get back to that part of the space. The other photo shows where the ink spread on the page when used to to color in the words. Overall, I am very pleased with this set of markers and prefer them over Sharpie Color Burst Permanent Markers, Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 24-Count because they are easy to color with and the colors seem more vibrant.
