Tone Fitness Stability Ball/Exercise Ball | Exercise Equipment

I was hesitant ordering the ball for a couple of reasons-not sure on the size and the negative reviews all of the various balls have. I have spinal arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I didn't feel like waiting until my next physical therapy session to find out the exact size of the ball I use there, so went by the manufacturer's suggestions. I'm 5'3" and this ball is perfect. I have it inflated pretty much all the way and my feet are just planted on the floor. If you're around my size DON'T go for the 75cm! Besides using it for my exercising and sitting, my two sons (on of who is 5'7 and fits on it fine, feet touching) love the thing and have spent hours bouncing and rolling around on it-it hasn't lost any air. I didn't have any problem using the hand held pump that came with the product. The directions say don't use an air compressor due to that air being cold or whatever...if I had started w/the compressor I would have felt fine using it-I blew it up the majority of the way so didn't want to use the air compressor for the final little bit, paranoid of it popping, so had my husband do the last couple dozen pumps as my hand strength wasn't too good. I think you'd REALLY need to force a lot of air into the thing to get it to pop, this isn't the same material as play balls! It came with a couple 1" thick grey strips. I think they're supposed to be like exercise/therapy bands. The box and directions don't make any mention of them. I haven't watched the DVD but assume they're mentioned in there! This was an awesome price for the ball-another reason I was hesitant, cheap price, did that mean cheap product? Thankfully no, that wasn't the case at all, this is the same quality as the ones in my therapy office. It doesn't have any smell to it whatsoever, and I am very sensitive to smells!!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I ordered it on a Monday afternoon with my Prime two day shipping. Later that night I got the email it shipped and it showed up Tuesday morning!!! Can't beat that kind of service and pricing!

I purchased this ball to do exercises on to help with sciatica after my chiropractor offered to sell me one for twice as much as this one. He said his were unpoppable but I found this one to be very sturdy in a household with 2 small children and pets. We've all used this ball, both correctly and creatively (as children like to do) and haven't even had to add more air since purchasing it over a month ago. It was easy to inflate, though I wasn't sure if I got it inflated enough since the instruction paper it comes with doesn't really indicate how big the ball is supposed to be. There's a piece of paper that resembles a measuring tape included and the instructions show that you use this to measure but the paper tape is blank and much larger than the ball's circumference. The instructions make it look like the tape is supposed to only be a few inches over the ball but I had at least 6 inches and didn't feel safe inflating the ball any more. I had to guess on it and suspect I over inflated it a little. There is also nothing included to easily get the stopper out of the ball if you want to add more air. That aside, it's a great product if you're in need of a fitness ball and has helped me in getting my health back.

This fitness ball is perfect for me (5'1"), but I would not recommend it to anyone much taller than that. It is easy to inflate with the little hand pump it comes with, and the plug seems to hold the air in just fine. I am using this as a birthing ball, and so far it is working perfectly. It is nice and firm, but does not feel like it will pop at all. It also comes with a DVD (But I haven't watched it). Overall, a great value and size for petite fitness fans or moms-to-be.

The coloring is accurate to the picture but it's more matte. Between the ridges and the "anti-slide" texturing, it's really hard for sweaty hands to slide off or anything of the sort. I'm 5'3" and I think I probably could have gone up to a size 65cm but this is just as doable, no big deal. People of girth, I just received this item today but I've been doing pikes and rolling around on it like a maniac and I'm no Kate Moss. If you're worried about your weight, I would say this is more than capable of holding up to 330-375lbs. I'm below that range but I can tell it's sturdy enough to go heavier than me. I do wish this came in more colors, but I won't hold a grudge since I'm getting what I want out of it. I'll post an update in a month or so but I really think this is worth a try for those thinking about snatching one. UPDATE: 9/14/14 I've had this for ages now and it's just as durable as the day I bought it. I have found that it has completely retained the air originally put into it thus I have found no need to re-inflate it. I keep this in my bedroom to exercise on before I get ready to turn in. I still highly recommend this product!

I wanted to get a stability ball to work on at home. I was not able to figure out which size ball I should take for my height. I looked around and people said different things. I decided to buy this 65 cm ball and it was perfect for my height. It looked big after I inflate it, but when I worked out on it, it was perfect for my height. I am 5'10" btw. I have seen people complaining about the pump. I don't know what they are expecting. You would, of course, not get a $10 pump with a $16 stability ball. The pump which comes with this ball worked fine, at least for me. Yes, it is small pump and it is a workout in itself to inflate the ball with a this pump (because it's a small pump and you have pump a lot), but I did inflate the ball. The pump didn't break or anything. And you don't inflate-deflate a stability ball on daily basis, until and unless that is what you do for a time pass. I would recommend this product for someone who is 5'8"-6" tall.

Very nice ball. Don't know what some are getting an oval shape - my guess is that they either got a defective piece or didn't inflate it completely. I bought mine as an "used--very-good" item from the Amazon warehouse, so it was a customer return. I read the reviews after ordering the item and was a bit worried that I may get a defective piece. But it is perfect. Took the ball out, unfolded it and let it lie for an hour so that it got to the room temperature. The included pump is decent but takes a long time to get the ball fully inflated, I had an electric inflator from an air bed and used that. To ensure that I reached the correct inflation, I held the ball between a wall and a big card-board box and measured the distance with a tape. It should be 65 cm (or 25.6 inches) for a correctly inflated ball. The ball is round, has the optimum amount of bounce and is the perfect height for me to use as a chair or do some exercises (I am 5' 7"). All-in-all, and excellent purchase. I liked it so much I got the smaller 55cm (Pink) colored ball for my kid too.

This review is to discuss my confusion over this item which I just got. First of all the pump works really well and I was able to pump it up in just a few minutes. Problem is in the size. Fro my height 5-9 I ordered the 65cm ball which in English units is about 26". In the printed info that comes with they tell you to test the size by sitting on the ball, you should have a 90 degree angle between hip and knee, if the angle is less the size is too small, if its greater than 90 the size is too big. As I inflated the ball it became clear that it was getting full but was no where near the 26" diameter. I used a level and tape measure to get a nice accurate estimate of the size. I stopped at about 22 and a half inches, put the plug in temporarily and sat on the ball, I had the proper 90 angle and not wanting to burst the ball I decided to stop pumping. Questions are, why is it no where near 26"? and why does the size seem right for me anyway? are the size recommendations completely wrong? and did I really receive a 65cm ball or is it 55 and if so, why are the recommended sizes so far off. I'm really confused about this and really doubtful about adding a lot more air. This is my first experience with one of these balls, I'm not thrilled so far. The dvd seems worth looking at but the first half doesnt play that well and the second half is unplayable. I think it was damaged by being stuffed in the box with the ball. Subsequently, the issue of the DVD was taken care of by Amazon

One great thing about this ball is that it's the right size for both me and my husband. I got it because I'm currently suffering from pregnancy related sciatica, and I read that sitting on an exercise ball can help. It's amazing! The pain is completely gone when I'm sitting on this ball. I work from home, and more days than not, I sit on this ball while working instead of sitting in my rolling desk chair. It's so comfy and kind of fun to bounce on and roll around on. My husband loves it too. He was stretching his legs with it. I plan to take it to the hospital when I'm in labor, and one day I'll probably use the included instructions on how to do different exercises with this ball. The only negative is that it takes a ton of pumping to get it full. At first my husband thought we were sent the wrong size ball because he didn't realize how much it could stretch. It's perfect, multi-use, great for relieving pain and I'm sure great for exercise.

I have purchased this ball over a month ago, and gave it a solid try before writing the review. I used it for exercising as well as sitting instead of the computer chair. I am 5'9'' and the height of the ball is perfect. It came with a pump and a tape that shows how much it should be inflated by putting it around the ball. So far it did not deflate and although manual air pumping takes some time it deserves a good review! The description of the item shows it's pink, but mine is blue.

Works well for exercise. Has an unpleasant, very plastic smelling odor however.
